Today was a good day for brewing beer. I started out by heading down to meet my grain guy to pick up assorted grains, hops and yeast. The haul was 55lbs of two row, 2lbs of chocolate, 2lbs of flaked barley, 1lb of crystal 15, 1lb of crystal 75 and a pound of rosted barley. Also had yeast and 4 oz each of Willamette, Nugget, Fuggles and Cascade hops.
Using some of that I set out to make an Irish Stout. I do the BIAB style so the grain bill was pretty heavy. I have decided that I really want to build a pulley system before my next brew day to make life easier for me. The end result was two fairly full carboys, but it was more hassle than I would have liked.
